Children Ministry

The greatest mission field is a child’s heart! The children ministry of Life Harvest Assembly has the vision of reaching into the lives of young children with the gospel and nurturing them in the teaching of faith with the Word of God. Young children are most receptive to the gospel, so starting them at a young age gives them the best chance of knowing God. The primary goal is to help children develop a strong foundation in their spiritual journey, fostering a love for God and others and preparing them as they grow into young adulthood. Proverbs 22:6 – Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

We have a Sunday School program that is offered for children ages 5-12 every Sunday. We aim to provide a safe and engaging environment where children can learn about God and be biblically rooted in God’s word and develop a love unreservedly to Jesus and serve in His Kingdom. Through worship, prayer and learning from the word of God, we believe in setting them on the right path to be productive people in future. We count it an awesome privilege and responsibility to reach and teach these little ones for Him!

Ministry pre-requisites:

– be a regular worshipper at Life Harvest Assembly for at least 6 months
– be a regular cell attendee
– 19 years old and above

Small Group Teachers (Cradle Roll to Primary 6)

Small group teachers are like cell leaders to a group of children of the same age. Their aim is to pastorally care for the children and help them to know and encounter Jesus. This is done through reinforcing Bible lessons, teaching spiritual truths, clarifying doubts, praying with them and encouraging them. On-the-job training will be provided.

Cradle Roll Teacher

Do you love to carry and cuddle babies and toddlers? This is the place for you to express your maternal instincts and be completely besotted with God’s marvelous creations.

Preschool Teacher

You will work with preschoolers and introduce the concept of a loving God and His Word to them. You will do so through one or more of the following roles.

Small Group Teacher

You will befriend and sow into the lives of a group of primary level children. Through small group time on Sundays, you will teach them how to apply biblical truths, address any questions that they might have and encourage them to experience the power of prayer.

Special Needs Teacher

You will look after special needs children on Sundays. You are passionate, loving and patient. The primary ingredients in providing quality care to children with special needs are observation skills, a willingness and desire to be flexible. Generally, since the abilities of each child vary, so will the amount of individual attention.
